Introduction
L.A.’s skyrocketing housing costs have made it one of the most expensive places to live in the nation – worse than New York, Boston, and D.C. Monthly housing costs as a percentage of income is higher in L.A. than almost every other major city.

Our Approach
The Institute is on the front lines of researching this issue. We produce new research on how the high cost of housing is burdening employers and threatening our workforce by sponsoring studies and surveys that help us to best understand what are the causes of the crisis and how LA businesses can be a part of the solution.
